  • Clifton Hill

Clifton Hill house is being altered in stages. First, new paint colours to the original principle rooms; warm, solid colours able to hold their own against Victorian detailing. Next is the triangular courtyard, original in shape & the main open outdoor area, operating as both a retreat-space, veg-patch, BBQ spot, garden & outdoor room. A blackbutt slatted fence, with lots of natural character, lines the external wall/fence folding down to create several generous benched seating areas. Garden beds line one side of the house & break up the seating, for vegies, herbs & to grow wall covering ficus. Steel sliding gate & custom steel security gates mix existing Victorian geometries with a playful nod to the new owners retro sensibility.
